Bit Hot, What
See, England does get hot days. Today for example, 18 June 2005 - scorching 28C. FYI, Bracknell is the closest Met Office to us, hence I use it for my weather predictions.

Freedom Toaster
What a brilliant idea. This is the Freedom Toaster that is being deployed in locations all over South Africa, enabling people to "bring and burn" open source software for their own use thus allowing people to get free software without the additional cost of dial-up internet or broadband - both of which are hellish expensive in SA still.

Mum's House on Google Maps
I've found mum's house on Google maps. Granted it's not of the quality seen for the UK or the US, but it's kind of cool you can find places in South Africa too. The location of the Dome at Northgate helped a lot.

Inconsiderate Drivers
My rendition of the stickers we should all be allowed to stick onto the windscreen of inconsiderate drivers. These are the drivers who insist on parking across two bays when one would do fine, park in disabled bays when not disabled or any other offense that could be deemed inconsiderate - the list is far too long for this explanation.

Half Bridge, Half Tunnel
Got this and thought it was a pretty ingenius bit of engineering. It's half bridge, half tunnel and links Denmark and Sweden. The tunnel bit is so ships can pass without having to worry about heights or pillars. I think they should do the same thing on the Channel... I'd certainly use it, even if I had to pay a toll for it.

Aggressive and Accusatory Terms and Conditions
Hows this for some pretty aggressive and accusatory Ts & Cs. The reason for this? This company takes your money at the point of placing the order and not dispatch, and given the fact they have this term/condition would indicate I'm not alone in experiencing some terrible customer service from this company.
